6 Major Factors Affect You Finding A Perfect SPC Flooring

  1. Application
  2. Surface Pattern
  3. Wear Layer Thickness
  4. Underlayment
SPC, which stands for Stone Plastic (or Polymer) Composite, features a core that is typically comprised of around 60% calcium carbonate (limestone), polyvinyl chloride and plasticizers.
SPC stands for Stone Polymer Composite, referring to the core composed of limestone and plastic stabilizers. The results of combining these elements in the structure of flooring planks is a thin yet very dense core making it extremely resilient and 100% waterproof.
One of the biggest benefits of choosing SPC vinyl flooring is that it is completely waterproof. Due to its rigid, PVC core layer, these planks can withstand liquids and spills unlike many of the flooring products that it mimics. SPC has a softer surface than other flooring materials such as wood or stone.

PVC is made from fossil fuels, including natural gas. The production process also uses sodium chloride which results in a polymer containing 57% chloride content.

Common Uses for PVC Foam

PVC foam sheet is durable and displays colors consistently, making it the perfect choice for directional signage, POS displays, display boards, menu boards, and real estate signs. The Building and Construction market has also seen tremendous improvements with PVC foam applications.

PVC is a durable material that’s resistant to weathering, which is why it’s so often used in building and construction. It’s also resistant to chemicals and doesn’t conduct electricity, making it crucial for use in high-tech applications, such as wire and cable.
PVC contains dangerous chemical additives including phthalates, lead, cadmium, and/or organotins, which can be toxic to your child’s health.
WPC is undoubtedly a green product that has less of an environmental impact or is less detrimental to human health than the traditional product equivalent available in the market.
